Name: Caith Sakir though Caith may not be his real first name, I haven't decided yet
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Occupation: Merchant He also does piercings for people
Height: 6'1"
Physical Misc.: Caith has 7 piercings total, 4 are in his ears...I'll let your mind guess where the other's are. He's also got a tattoo on his back that I need to draw sometime, and a scar on his left foot with other minor scars here and there, nothing that visible.
Weapons: Even if he doesn't look like it, he's always packing something. On a day to day basis he's got at least a dagger tucked away in his sash. If he knows he's going to be fighting he usually has his two talwar swords, the daggar, another types of blade that I'm derping on the name of right now, and a small shield. He can use a rapier or a european sword, but not that well. If he doesn't have any weapons he can fairly deftly escape his opponent provided they're not faster and more agile than he is.
Good Traits: Loyal, adaptable, easy going, perceptive, responsive, nonchalant, idyllic
Bad Traits: Insecure about being accepted and fitting in, cocky in a subtle way, reclusive/keeps to himself, resentful, nonchalant, idyllic
Personality: Caith is a mild mannered, easy going, and optimistic man. He's always there if someone important to him needs his aid with a smile and an helping hand, which comes from a close sense of family he developed as a child. He lets things pass when their time has come and does not hold onto things beyond there need...minus some deeper feelings of resentment. Tomorrow is always a brighter day than today, holding much possibility. He has a somewhat childish sense of wonder for the world still and cherishes the simple things like good food and good friends. Though, he really doesn't have many close friends because he's so worried about being accepted that he ends up distancing himself because he merely thinks people don't want him around.

He's very concerned about fitting in as best he can in Unova so he went a little overboard when learning english. He speaks English fluently and can read and write better than most people probably could at the time. Caith thought by learning these things he'd be able to more easily fit into Unovan society, but it really just alienated him more because most people from Unova are a little put off by the fact a foreigner knows more about the language and literature than they do. He's very adaptable, almost too good as he doesn't exactly know where the line always is. Because of this he's also learned how to fight with a rapier and a standard one handed european sword, but he's not very good with them in comparison to his two traditional talwar swords.

Even though he wants to fit in and is concerned about people accepting him as a person, he's completely comfortable in his body. An example would be if he were to go to a public bathing place and people where whispering about his tat or piercings he'd just be happily oblivious. It's not that he wouldn't notice they were talking about him or eyeing him, but he'd just not care.

History: Caith was born in a desert country to the east of Unova. His family consisted of his parents and an older brother, but really everyone in their...tribe or troupe or group of nomadic desert people or whatever you want to call them were like one big extended family. The desert was a place of survival which grew bonds deep and strong between the people to worked together to live there. his caravan moved from place to place in search of food and water and many cool nights were spent telling stories around campfires.

His country hadn't been in a peaceful state for as long as he could remember and eventually his older brother and father had to join the fight, along with the Aerodactyl Dahr which was a mount that had been in Caith's family for generations. Because of the fantastic stories and myths of war he and his brother had heard as children they two were certain that all of the warriors from their caravan would return as heros of the war. None returned, Caith's brother was only 15. Dahr was the only one who made it back to the caravan.

With her life shattered, Caith's mother took the 11 year old and Dahr and fled the country. The woman could not handle the thought of loosing her now only son. The two flew on Dahr and eventually ended up in Unova, in Catelia. Caith's mother was expecting to have to live being a gypsy or a prostitute, but on on of her first days on the streets an older couple took she and her son in because they'd lost their own daughter to such things and didn't want to see it happen again if they could prevent it.

The couple allowed them to stay as long as they helped out as much as possible, picking up legitimate odd jobs where they could. Caith's mother didn't take well to the change in location, though and succumb to the new sicknesses that the foreign land had when her son was about 14. The couple then raised Caith from then on and he refers to them as his grandparents even if they are not blood related in any way.

The kindness that Unova and it's people had shown Caith and his mother gave him a fierce sense of loyalty to the country. He studied both the language and the culture of Unova to fit in, he was only a boy searching for some acceptance afterall. Despite his brother and father dying in war all he wanted was to join the army to pay back Unova and to honor the deaths of those in his family. Talwar swords were common in his land and he'd been trained with them since he was barely able to hold one and continued to practice with them in Unova. Figuring the army wouldn't want that type of fighter he also learned to use rapier and a single handed european sword. He trained all he could in his freetime, during the majority of the day he'd taken up job as a merchant to pay back his grandparents and pull his weight.

He sells things from his home country to those in the Castelia market and does a decent job because of the exotic nature of the items. Every few months he takes Dahr on a trip back to his home country to pick up wares to sell and visit any extended family or friends he might happen to pass along the way. This is also why he has some traditional clothing that he wears now and again despite having lived in Unova for more than half of his life. He generally dresses like any other male would during the time period, except wearing the gold earrings that had been his mother's, unless he's selling in the market. if he's selling he'll dress more flashy and traditionally to draw more attention to him and his wares. He also does piercings for people, usually just ears, because it was something really common in his culture.

Once Caith finally got the opportunity to attempt to join the army he was rejected. Why would they want a 'foreigner' and 'merely a merchant' in their grand army? They didn't even give him a chance, but this did not dampen his spirits only made him train harder to be able to one day prove he's an asset to Unova.

And one day fate smiled on him. When in market some passing men were talking about open knight guild trials. Caith stopped them and asked what they spoke of, and excitement rising in him as they handed him the flyer with the information.

He would finally prove himself.

Pokemon:
Dahr: The aerodactyl has been passed down from father to son in Caith's family for generations. He's fierce and dependable and has seen many wars, hence the scars. He can be kinda grumpy at times, but also really tries to look out for Caith.

Kima: When Caith's grandparents learned that he would soon be going to join the warrior guild they gave him Kima. The cat had been his grandfather's and see it's fair share of work as his grandfather used to be one of the perimeter guards of Castelia. The cat can be lazy and makes a fuss when he has to do something, but under it is rather good natured and hard working.

Hajar: This pokemon belonged to Caith's mother and was given to him upon her death. His mother had Hajar since he was young and he was extremely protective of her. He's not the smartest rock out there and doesn't always like listening to Caith much because he's not his mom. Caith generally fights with speed and agility rather than strength and Hajar completes the team by being more or less a bulldozer.

Kezia: Kezia is a little Emolga who Caith happened to give a berry while in the forest probably going to the Ranger’s guild at some point. The little squirrel then followed him, he figured looking for more food. Caith of course gave her another berry, amused. In the end, the Emolga decided she liked Caith and can often be found perching on his shoulder. She more or less picked Caith because he gave her food. She’s chattery, quick, curious, and generally sweet. If you give her food and are nice to her walking home (Caith), she’ll like you. Caith often calls her Kizzy.

Misc:
-Caith's favorite foods are olives, grapes, and arak (an anise alcohol)
-He loves the desert air more than anything
-Kima didn't have a name prior to his ownership of the large cat. Caith's grandparents merely called him 'cat.'
-Hajar means rock/stone in arabic
-Hajar and Dahr are more tan/sandy in coloration than the pokemon's official colors because of their desert origin
-Caith treats everyone equally no matter their rank or social status, he policy is everyone is a person and should be treated with the same dignity and respect
-He doesn't know how to treat women he fancies any different than anyone else so he usually misses out because he's just the 'nice guy'
-He's not very experienced with anything sexual He's getting some experience 8D
-He's very self educated and has a prowess for learning, it just comes naturally to him and takes it up like a sponge
-April spent an hour and a half watching youtube videos on how to correctly fight with talwar so she can actually portray it correctly and it's an extremely fascinating thing
-He can read people fairly well because his fighting style is very based on the prediction of how your enemy will move and controlling the situation in your favor
-Talwar fighting doesn't involve lobbing around swords like european fighting, it focuses on control, adaption, and using your enemies movements against them. You basically try to create or find and opening and slash them.
-He's an effective fighter against European fighters in swordplay if allowed to use his talwar because he understand their fighting style but they do not understand his which give him an advantage
-He didn't catch any of his pokemon himself, but they all have some bond and loyalty to him
-He's not very use to fighting with pokemon, but he's learning quickly
-His pokemon have a lot of HM/TM moves because he's traded wares for them or has come across them in the merchant trade
-Despite the fact his immediate family is dead he's never consider himself orphaned
